A bird in hand is worth two in the bush

I had a bird in my hand,
but I squeezed it too tight.
Till she couldn’t stand,
it, so she took to flight.
Over hills and valleys,
she flew away,
leaving only memories,
That remain to this day.
Two more birds,
Sang in the trees,
sweet songs I heard,
but they were’nt for me.
My heart is in pieces,
fell to Earth like a kite.
And I wonder where now,
She is spending, Her nights.

  1. This has an amazing flow. Really enjoyed reading it. I feel like there are a few ways to interpret this, each with its own interesting intricacies. Very well done!

  2. have fun, support by visiting a dozen entries starting from the latest one, go backwards, 226, 225, 224, ….210..
