Even though you’ll see us glide
Across the prairie far and wide
You’ll find these stripes upon our side
Cause in the low brush we must hide.
Always we go with stealth and care
So many preditors are there
Who seek us out by moving flair
To provide a meal so fair.
We munch the grass by morning sun
Grouped together, all as one
We know before the day is done
Each for life may have to run.
Regardless of what myths you find
When you read about our kind
Please keep this one thing firm in mind
It is by cunning we have shined.
